CrossFit Zeeburg Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to everything you buy from CrossFit Zeeburg: memberships, group classes, personal training, trial and starter offers, class cards and drop-in classes. We keep them as short and concrete as possible.

1. Definitions
- CrossFit Zeeburg: CrossFit Zeeburg, Cruquiusweg 96F, 1019 AJ Amsterdam, Dutch Chamber of Commerce 65754964.
- You or member: the person who buys a product or service from us.
- Agreement: the arrangement between you and us for a membership, class or service.
- Membership: a subscription with a fixed initial term.
- Period: a payment period of four weeks.
- Credits: the number of classes you can book in a period under your offer.
- SportBit: the system used for memberships, bookings and payments.
2. Scope and formation of the agreement
These terms apply to every offer and every agreement between you and CrossFit Zeeburg. Different arrangements only apply if we confirm them in writing or by email.
The agreement is formed as soon as you accept an offer, online or in the box, and we confirm it. For online purchases you receive an electronic confirmation stating the chosen term, price and start date.
Before or when the agreement is concluded we make these terms available digitally so you can save or print them. Would you like them by email? Request them at info@crossfitzeeburg.com.
3. Offer, prices and personal access
All prices are in euros and include VAT. Current prices and product details are shown on our offer pages and in your confirmation.
We offer memberships, group classes, personal training, trial and starter offers, class cards and drop-in classes, among other things. What you get is set out in the offer you choose.
Your access and credits are personal and non-transferable. You do not share your account with others.
If the text on this page clearly differs from the current offer page or your personal confirmation, those prevail. Mandatory consumer law always prevails over these terms.
4. Memberships: term and four-week billing
A membership has a fixed initial term of 3, 6 or 12 months, depending on the offer you choose. Your term is stated in your confirmation.
Important to know: prices and credits are calculated and collected per four-week period. A year therefore has 13 payment periods, not 12 monthly instalments. The amount you pay every four weeks is stated in your confirmation.
The fixed term is converted into whole four-week periods. Your confirmation shows the start date, the amount per period and the end date of the fixed term.
5. Continuation and cancellation
After the fixed initial term your membership only continues for an indefinite period. It is never silently renewed for a new fixed term.
During that indefinite period you can cancel any day, with a notice period of no more than one month. Cancellation takes effect after that notice period; the running four-week period is settled up to that moment.
If you signed up online, you can also cancel online: an email to info@crossfitzeeburg.com is always enough. We confirm your cancellation and the end date by email. Cancelling is never harder or slower than signing up.
If you cancel during the fixed term, the cancellation takes effect at the end of that term. Ending earlier is possible if you have a statutory right to dissolve the agreement or if we agree to an earlier end in writing.
6. Trial offers, drop-ins and class cards
Trial offers, starter offers, drop-in classes and class cards simply expire. They are not renewed automatically and do not roll into a membership automatically, unless that was expressly and clearly agreed with you before your purchase.
Validity and the number of credits follow from the offer you chose and your confirmation. Unused classes expire at the end of the validity period.
7. Right of withdrawal for online purchases
If you buy a service from us online or otherwise at a distance, you have a 14-day cooling-off period. It starts the day after your agreement is confirmed.
You do not have to give a reason. An unambiguous statement by email to info@crossfitzeeburg.com is enough. You may also use the model form at the bottom of this page. We confirm your withdrawal by email straight away.
If you expressly ask to start during the cooling-off period and then withdraw, you only owe a proportionate amount for the services already delivered. Any remaining amount paid is refunded within 14 days using the same payment method.
We follow the rules on easy online withdrawal that apply from 25 June 2026. A separate withdrawal button in the checkout does not exist yet; until it does, we handle your withdrawal by email just as quickly and without extra steps.
8. Payment, failed direct debit and reminder
You pay using the method you chose when signing up, usually through SportBit or its connected payment provider. For an ongoing membership we collect payment per four-week period.
If a direct debit fails, we let you know and give you a reasonable period to pay after all. If payment is still not made, we first send the statutory free reminder with a 14-day payment term.
Only if you still do not pay may we charge the statutory collection costs and statutory interest. While an arrears situation continues, we may temporarily suspend access to classes after informing you.
9. Pausing your membership
As a general rule, memberships cannot be paused. CrossFit Zeeburg may make an exception only in the event of a long-term injury or pregnancy.
A request must be submitted in advance by email to info@crossfitzeeburg.com. Submitting a request does not automatically entitle you to a pause: a pause only takes effect after CrossFit Zeeburg has confirmed its duration and conditions in writing.
A pause can never be applied retroactively.
10. Credits, booking and cancelling
Credits belong to the four-week period in which they are granted and expire afterwards, unless the offer or your confirmation says otherwise.
You book and cancel classes through SportBit, following the booking rules we communicate in advance (for example a cancellation deadline and a waiting list).
We do not charge penalties or costs that were not clearly communicated in advance. If a booking rule changes, we tell you beforehand.
11. Schedule, coaches, location and facilities
The schedule, the coaches, the layout of the box and the facilities may reasonably change. We aim to announce changes in good time and to keep the offer equivalent.
If what you receive deteriorates substantially and permanently, you keep your statutory rights: repair, an appropriate price reduction or termination of the agreement. Contact us in that case and we will look for a solution together.
12. Health and safety
Training at CrossFit Zeeburg happens under the guidance of a coach. You follow the coach's instructions, scale the workout responsibly to your level and never force anything.
Tell your coach directly about relevant injuries, complaints or limitations so we can adjust training safely. You decide what you share; do not enter medical details in open fields on the website.
If you feel unwell or something is wrong with the equipment, stop and tell a coach immediately.
13. Conduct and house rules
We expect respectful behaviour towards members, coaches and equipment, and that you follow the house rules in the box.
Automating class bookings with bots, scripts or similar tools is not allowed. It comes at the expense of other members.
If a rule is broken we talk to you first and may issue a warning or a temporary suspension. Immediate termination is reserved for serious situations: safety risks, fraud, harassment or repeated breaches after a warning.
14. Liability
We are liable within the limits set by law. We never exclude our liability for intent or gross negligence, for personal injury or death, or in cases where exclusion is not legally permitted.
For the rest, our liability is limited to what is reasonable and, where legally allowed, to the amount paid out by our insurance.
You are liable for damage you cause intentionally or culpably to equipment, the premises or others. Do not leave valuables unattended.
15. Minors
If you are under 18, consent from your parent or legal representative is required where the law asks for it. We may ask for confirmation of that consent.
16. Force majeure and temporary closure
In case of force majeure, such as a government measure, fire or utility failure, we may temporarily adjust or interrupt our services. We inform you as soon as possible and look for an alternative, for example an adjusted schedule.
If the situation lasts longer, you keep your statutory rights to suspend payment, to appropriate compensation or to end the agreement.
17. Price changes
During the fixed initial term the agreed price and the four-week payment frequency remain leading. Within that term we only adjust the price if this was agreed in advance on the basis of objective indexation, or if a change in law (for example the VAT rate) requires it.
Other price changes only apply after the fixed term. We announce such a change personally at least one month in advance, and you can cancel before the effective date if you do not agree.
18. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when there is a reasonable ground to do so, for example new legislation or a new offer. We announce changes personally or electronically.
For running agreements, substantive changes apply in principle only after the fixed term ends, unless a change in law requires an earlier date. If you disagree with a change that worsens your position, you can cancel before the effective date. Mandatory law always continues to apply.
19. Complaints, applicable law and disputes
Do you have a complaint? Please report it to us first at info@crossfitzeeburg.com. We respond within 14 days in principle and look for a solution together with you.
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes are submitted to the competent court; as a consumer you always keep the right to bring proceedings before the court assigned to you by law, usually the court of your place of residence.
If a provision of these terms is invalid or voidable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. We replace the invalid provision with a valid one that is as close as possible in substance.
20. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
21. Model withdrawal form
