“Teamwork makes the dream work” is one of our favorite quotes. It’s not a CrossFit quote but it could have been! One of the best things about CrossFit is it’s community. You never do the workouts alone but have your friends cheering you on. At CrossFit Zeeburg we are always positive and spend a lot of time and effort on building the best community in the world!
CrossFit Zeeburg is a CrossFit Box consisting of two smaller boxes located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We offer daily CrossFit WOD’s, gymnastics specialty classes and one Yoga clas a week. Founded by people who are very passionate about CrossFit and helping people achieve their dream, owning our own place to train and help people is a dream come true.
Because of its relatively small size compared to other CrossFit boxes (max. 12 people in a WOD) we really focus on giving you as much personal attention and guidance as possible. Quality of coaching and giving everyone the movement cues they need are for us the most important points to focus on.
We are firm believers in the training principles that Crossfit offers through our own experience. We’ve been the ‘sporty’ types our whole lives but experienced first hand that working out can be even more fun than we thought! The competition, the community, the constant varying workouts make CrossFit a fun way to get really fit and strong! This is something we’ve been looking for our whole lives. We are also firm believers in the three principles CrossFit stands for: Move, Eat, Rest.
Firstly, we as human beings are not created to sit still all day but have to move to stay healthy and live long and happy lives. Secondly, as you know nutrition is really important. However, it is equally to not stress and be obsessed about what you eat. Just eat healthy, nutritious foods (eat your veggies!) without too much (any) added sugar and you’ll be fine. Don’t stress about food and remember becoming healthy is a marathon and not a sprint.
Thirdly, and this is the most underrated part of becoming healthy and having enough energy to kick life’s %ss is rest or sleep. Make sure you get enough zzzzzz’s every night (aim for at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep) and you’ll be amazed what a difference a night makes!
